Asam Pedas Prawn

Quite some did not cook at home. Yesterday went to market saw the prawns are very fresh so bought it thought wanted to cook curry prawn with pineapple but forgot to buy the curry paste so can't cook the prawn curry. In the fridge do have some left over asam pedas paste bought from cosway. So cook this asam pedas prawn. This dish nothing much special just it taste very fragrant with the bunga kantan added and taste sweet sour and spicy just nice to eat with rice.


Ingredients :
1 Japanese cucumber (cut cube)
1 carrot (cut cube)
1/2 pineapple (cut small pieces)
1/2kg fresh prawn
1 bunga kantan (cut small slices)
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp asam pedas paste
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup oil for deep fry the prawn
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Methods:
1.) Heat up the wok, add in 1 cup oil . When the oil is hot then add in the prawn to fried about 2 minutes .(the prawn change to red colour will do )
2.) Dish up the oil and left about 2 tbsp oil on the wok, then add in the asam pedas paste fried till aromatic then add in the carrot cook for a while then pour the water then cook till boiling.
3.) Add in cucumber , pineapple,sugar, salt and prawn cook till the gravy thickening will do.
