Raisin And Almond Squares

Learn this from "YUM YUM NO 56 pg 75 " .This Raisin and Almond Square taste delicious and easy to prepare. Thank you teacher Kelly provide such nice recipe.



125g butter ( I used 140g butter in order to form the dough )

100g icing sugar ( I used 80g)

250g plain flour


1 egg

3 tbsp soft brown sugar ( I used 2 tbsp)

200g raisins

100g sliver almond

3 tbsp plain flour


1. Base: Beat butter and icing sugar till creamy. Fold in flour and mix into a dough. press dough into a 10" X 7" baking tray. Use a fork to prick some holes. Bake in a preheated oven at 170℃ for 15 minutes or until golden brown .

2. Topping: Beat egg and sugar lightly. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well.

3. Spread filling onto prepared base.

4. Bake in a preheated oven at 170℃ for 20 minutes. Remove and leave to cool. Cut into slices and serve.

This drinks is very easy to prepare .

Ingredients :
Pumpkin - 300g (cut small piece)
cashew nut - 50g
water - 1500ml
brown sugar - 2 tbsp (as your taste)
some pandan (screwpine leaf)

1.) Add water, pumpkin and cashew nut into the one-touch machine and choose option paste will do.
2.) After cooked , pour the pumpkin paste to warmer and add in the screwpine leaf and brown sugar will do.

P/S: cook without the one- touch machine just blended the pumpkin and cashew nut with the water and bring to boil will do.

Asam Pedas Prawn

Quite some did not cook at home. Yesterday went to market saw the prawns are very fresh so bought it thought wanted to cook curry prawn with pineapple but forgot to buy the curry paste so can't cook the prawn curry. In the fridge do have some left over asam pedas paste bought from cosway. So cook this asam pedas prawn. This dish nothing much special just it taste very fragrant with the bunga kantan added and taste sweet sour and spicy just nice to eat with rice.

Ingredients :
1 Japanese cucumber (cut cube)
1 carrot (cut cube)
1/2 pineapple (cut small pieces)
1/2kg fresh prawn
1 bunga kantan (cut small slices)
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp asam pedas paste
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup oil for deep fry the prawn
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

1.) Heat up the wok, add in 1 cup oil . When the oil is hot then add in the prawn to fried about 2 minutes .(the prawn change to red colour will do )
2.) Dish up the oil and left about 2 tbsp oil on the wok, then add in the asam pedas paste fried till aromatic then add in the carrot cook for a while then pour the water then cook till boiling.
3.) Add in cucumber , pineapple,sugar, salt and prawn cook till the gravy thickening will do.

有了那养生机后就方便多了。 我就不必泡饮料了。晚上就把十谷米加其他材料放进部养生机内让它煮滚后倒入保温锅内即可。 今天请大家喝红番薯米浆及甜菜根米浆。
这是红番薯米浆。 材料只需要4大匙十谷米,一杯去皮切小块的红番薯及1500ml 的清水。
这是甜菜根米浆。材料只需要4大匙十谷米,半粒去皮切小块的甜菜根及1500ml 的清水。 这甜根菜煮熟后的味道还可以接受。加入1 小匙的黄糖进米浆里,我家的小孩也喝了。

甜菜根米浆配上马铃薯三文治就是我家今天的早餐了。 (这马铃薯三文治等我弄好照片再贴上来)。

barbecue chicken puff

This puff is very simple to prepare. I bought the ready make puff pastry (refer to the puff pastry picture at here .)

Ingredient :
10 pcs puff pastry
1 pcs chicken breast meat (cut to small pieces)
1 onion (cut cube)
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp light soya sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp dark soya sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp pepper
1 egg (use for egg wash the puff)

1.) Marinate the chicken with light soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soya sauce, sesame oil, pepper and brown sugar for 2 hours / keep in fridge overnight.
2.) Heat the wok and add in the cooking oil and onion fried till fragrant then add in the marinated chichken and keep saute till chicken cooked.
3.) Let it chicken cool down for a while.
4.) Preheat the oven at 180c .Wrap the chicken to the puff pastry ,egg wash and bake for 20 minutes or golden colour will do.
