This post as "draft " for nearly two months. Lazy to type the recipe so today only post the photo. The recipe will add in when the lazy worm gone. (Recipe added @05/09/09)

It just a normal wholemeal bread dough which wrap with black pepper sausage and filament stick and steam instead of bake.

Recipe taken from : Baked & Steamed Bun 食谱来自:面包蒸烘味

75g high protein flour 75克高筋面粉
250g low protein flour 250克低筋面粉
40g castor sugar 40克幼糖
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 小匙盐
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast 1 1/2 小匙即溶酵母
25g corn oil 25克粟米油
1 tsp baking powder 1 小匙发分
155g water 155克水
25g wholemeal flour 25克全麦面粉

Others: 其他:

sausages (I use filament stick and black pepper sausage)

香肠 (我用了蟹柳及 黑胡椒香肠)

black pepper 黑胡椒

Method: 做法:

  1. Mix yeast with water until yeast is totally dissolved.
  2. 混合酵母和水均匀至酵母完全溶解。

  3. Then, mix well with all other ingredients. knead to form soft dough.Cover with a big bowl. Rest for 30 minutes
  4. 进入其他材料,混合均匀。搓成软面团, 用大碗盖好,休息30分钟。

  5. Cut into 11 portions of 50g each. Roll into balls and rest for 5 minutes. (I cut to 40g each) .
  6. 将面团分割成11小等份,每份50克。揉成圆形和休息5分钟。(我把面团割成每份40克)

  7. Flatten and knead dough into long strip, Bind dough and roll around the sausage completely. Place the dough onto a piece of paper. Rest for 15 mins.
  8. 压扁面团。挤成长条,从香肠其中一端开始围卷至另一端。置放在小纸上。休息15分钟。

  9. Place into preheat steamer and steam over medium heat for 8 mins.

This pao look yummy, but I seldom do pau , one word "lazy"...hehehe..

Sonia, I also quite lazy to knead pau, I alway use m/c to knead. only do pao when I really free and good mode.
